We’re heading off this morning for Rosario – a little mining town with the Visitor’s Center to La Tigra, a cloud forest. The girls are sad to leave our little cabin, having already made it home. They have made the bunkbed their own personal climbing gym, and have tested multiple times every item in the little playground.
However, there have been no repeat requests of swimming in the frigid pool. The weather is warmer than in Seattle, but we still wear jeans and a sweater most of the time; the weather probably is in the high 60′s or low 70′s during the day.
MonkeyWrench and Picklebee were very happy to see pancakes for breakfast. I was amazed at how orange the egg yolks were – they certainly must have come from free-range chickens! The yolks looked even oranger than the yolks from our happy chickens in our backyard at home.
The girls have gotten used to brushing their teeth with bottled water, but were dissappointed that there was no banana soda for breakfast. How adaptable they are!
We don’t know if there will be internet at our next place – I assume not, so we’ll catch up when we can! Just a few more days until Christmas!
